WOC to Read in ELT

Inspired by Scholars of Color to Read in the Field of Language database compiled by Dr. Megan Figueroa, we decided to create a list of Women of Color to Read in ELT (December 2019).

Please note that we have read the works of these scholars and found that they identify as Women of Color or we perceived them as Women of Color. With regard to the latter, Bhattacharya, Jiang, and Canagarajah’s (2019) methodology helped us in doing so. When we have a chance, we will introduce our movement to these scholars and we’ll move their names to Database of WOC in ELT if they allow us.

If you are among these scholars and you do not want to be on this list for any reason, please let us know and we will remove your name.

This list is in alphabetical order. Please contact us and submit any suggestions of Women of Color in ELT.
